Now everyone can be an expert photographer...the photo can be cut, coloured, edited a myriad of ways. I wouldn't want to be trying to earn a living being a photographer in this digital age when anyone, including a child, can take an average photo and turn it into something special. While I have used Snapfish before, Picnik seems to provide a great deal more in terms of being able to manipulate your images. Very cool...
I've been talking to a high school student to try and understand this technology a bit better and I've come the conclusion that students these days just love VISUAL. I rarely, if ever would have shared photos with friends when I was at school but with digital cameras being so cheap and students being on their laptops whenever they can, it makes sense. On a side note, it's interesting to see that the 3 head honchos as Picnik are all ex Microsoft employees. It's a small digital world.
